Hiring: Digital Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)

Are you an experienced digital marketer with a flair for content, communication and brand storytelling, and know your Malbec from your Merlot? If so, this could be the perfect role for you. We are looking for a confident, organised and creative Digital Marketing professional to join our team on a maternity cover contract, expected to last approximately 12 months.

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for managing Ellis Wines’ digital presence across social media, website and email communications. The role will include a handover period working alongside the current Digital Marketing Manager and will involve close collaboration with the Marketing, Buying, Sales and Design teams.

Location: Full-time, hybrid working available, Hanworth, Middlesex, TW13 6JE


Salary: £35K-£38K dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Plan and propose a monthly social media content calendar
  • Capture and create engaging content for Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Collaborate with the Design team to produce branded graphics
  • Schedule posts using a social media management tool
  • Monitor analytics and optimise content to improve reach and engagement 


Website

  • Work with the Senior Wine Buyer to upload blog content to the website
  • Write and edit engaging website copy
  • Publish and update website content via the CMS
  • Maintain product listings, including bottle shots and product information, in collaboration with the Design and Buying teams
  • Liaise with external web developers for ad hoc updates and troubleshooting


Email communications

  • Plan, write and distribute internal and external newsletters for staff, customers and producers
  • Create and manage email campaigns throughout the year
  • Work with the Design team to build emails and incorporate graphics
  • Manage CRM data and email segmentation 


Event support & management

  • Support the planning and delivery of seasonal tasting events and ad hoc events (e.g. producer lunches)
  • Capture photography and video content at events
  • Set up event sign-up pages, forms and email invitations in collaboration with the Design team
  • Work with Sales teams to create invitation lists
  • Manage registrations and attendee communications
  • Oversee the full email journey from invitation through to post-event follow-up


Other responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing Manager and Buying team on ad hoc marketing projects
  • Update news articles and content on the internal SharePoint system


About you

Ideally, you will:

  • Have 3+ years’ experience in a digital marketing role
  • Have experience using social media scheduling tools (e.g. Hootsuite)
  • Be confident using a CRM system
  • Have experience working with a CMS
  • Have experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Sugar, Mailchimp)
  • Show a genuine interest in wine and the hospitality industry
  • Have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and well organised
  • Be a strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Have a willingness to learn and develop your skills
