Region
The appellation of Côtes de Provence covers a wide swathe of land from Aix east to Cannes. Although much of the production is of dry rosé wine made from Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, it does also cover red and white wines. Provence has a warm Mediterranean climate with adequate rainfall and the cold Mistral wind provides cooling influence but the best sites are usually sheltered.
Producer
Maison Mirabeau is a premium Provence wine producer founded by Stephen and Jeany Cronk, who left London in 2009 to pursue their dream of creating exceptional rosé wines in southern France. Working with carefully selected growers and their own estate, Domaine Mirabeau, the winery produces elegant, award-winning wines that express the unique terroir of Provence. Sustainability lies at the heart of the business, with a strong commitment to regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, and soil health. As a certified B Corp, Maison Mirabeau champions environmentally responsible winemaking, aiming to transition all its Provence vineyards to regenerative farming practices by 2028.
Tasting Notes
This elegant rosé is crafted exclusively from regeneratively farmed vineyards within the renowned `golden triangle,` nestled on the foothills of the Maure mountains. Here, the meeting of maritime and continental influences creates exceptional terroir conditions, perfectly suited to producing rosés of the highest quality. The nose reveals notes of exotic fruit and citrus, pomelo and clementine, gently lifted by subtle white flower nuances. On the palate, it shows both character and poise, with refined structure and refreshing acidity.
Food
This rosé with its silky complexity is a natural partner to fresh seafood, but can easily stand up to grilled meats and more aromatic cuisine.
