Domaine de Chevalier is one of Pessac-Léognan’s most respected estates, with origins dating back to the 17th century and its modern reputation established under the Ricard family, who acquired the property in 1983. Classified as a Grand Cru Classé de Graves in 1953, the estate is surrounded by forest, creating a protected ecosystem and distinctive microclimate. Sustainability is central to its philosophy, with organic and biodynamic conversion across the vineyards beginning in 2021, following years of ecological work. Winemaking is highly selective, with multiple harvest passes and careful parcel and barrel selection, producing wines prized for their elegance, freshness, precision and ageing potential.
