Region

From the hill of Corton running south to the town of Beaune and Santenay at it`s tip, the Côte de Beaune represents the southern half of the vineyards of Côte d`Or. It is famous for its mix of Grand and Premier Cru white and red wines including Montrachet, Corton, Puligny, Pommard and Volnay.

Producer

Domaine Belleville was formed in Rully at the beginning of the 20th century, in the heart of the wine-making region of Burgundy. With 28 hectares of vineyards spread out from north to south Burgundy, Domaine Belleville offers distinctive wines full of elegance and finesse. It stands next to Chateau de Messey (Maconnais) and Manoir Murisaltien (Cote d`Or), all of which belong to the Dumont family.
Tasting Notes
This Mercurey has a nice bright ruby colour with purple tints and a bouquet of fresh blackberry and raspberry and light woody notes. A fantastic example of a well structured Pinot Noir as it is bursting with fruit on the palate and accompanied by smooth soft tannins. 12 months in oak has given the wine light oak notes with a lasting impression of sweet spice on the finish.
Food
Ideal with cold meats, pates, chicken, grilled lamb and pork.
