Region
The appellation of Côtes de Provence covers a wide swathe of land from Aix east to Cannes. Although much of the production is of dry rosé wine made from Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, it does also cover red and white wines. Provence has a warm Mediterranean climate with adequate rainfall and the cold Mistral wind provides cooling influence but the best sites are usually sheltered.
Tasting Notes
Miraval`s vinification takes advantage of the careful handpicking of grapes, gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks to create a balanced and elegant end product. Making use of blending and a brief 5-month ageing period in stainless steel, the wine retains great floral aromas, mingled with notes of fresh strawberries and citrus zest. The palate reveals a crisp and refreshing acidity balanced by flavours of ripe raspberries, peach and hints of garrigue.

Serve with grilled seafood, summer salads, light pasta and fresh cheeses.
