Region

The Languedoc is a vast region stretching across much of the south and Mediterranean with large volume of IGP wine within the distinct areas of l`Aude, Gard and Hérault and also well known appellations such as Minervois, Corbières, Pic Saint Loup and Fitou. It’s history dates back to the Greeks and Romans as well as monastaries in the Middle Ages. The Languedoc experiences Mediterranean climate with high levels of sunshine and warmth with low rainfall which are all favourable for grape growing. A wide range of grape varieties are grown including Syrah, Grenache and Carignan and the local variety piquepoul making a range of styles of red, white and rosé wines.

Producer

The wines are 100% organic and vinified with indigenous yeast without sulphites. Their core values are. respect for nature, sustainability of the vineyard, biodiversity and agroforestry.
Tasting Notes
This wine is a testament to its terroir, grown on the elevated limestone plateau full of pebbles, the wine exudes this delightful minerality and freshness. The grapes were pressed as whole bunches for better extraction of fruit resulting in a mixture of ripe and dried fruits such as apricot. The juice is then fermented in steel with regular stirring of lees for a lovely rich texture. Aged partly in steel and part in older barrels for further fullness and richness alongside fresh fruit.
Food
Ideal with seafood, Asian dishes, or slightly aged cheeses.
