Region
Touraine, as a region, includes the spectrum of wines from fresh, well defined varietal Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay and Malbec to Vouvray. It offers dry, sweet and sparkling white wines made from Chenin Blanc and the regions of Chinon and Bourgueil for red and rosé. The red wines of Touraine are largely produced from Cabernet Franc. Recent warm vintages and improved viticultural practices have resulted in many surprisingly concentrated yet supple red wines.
Producer
Isabelle and Noë Rouballay are the 5th generation of family winemakers. Established in 1885, the 30 hectares of vines are located on the renowened terroir of the town of Oisly, which the ideal possesses the ideal conditions for growing Sauvignon Blanc.
Passionate about the environment and certified sustainable, Isabelle and Noë work according to Terra Vitis specifications (since 2001) and the HVE (High Environmental Value) level 3 certification obtained in 2020.
Tasting Notes
A brilliant pale golden colour with an expressive nose that combines citrus scents with notes of white flowers and mineral nuances. The palate has great depth of flavour with notes of greengage, white peach, gooseberry and flint, underpinned with a crisp acidity.
Food
Serve with asparagus and shellfish.
