On Thursday 11th June, our football team, Vintners United, laced up their boots and took to the pitch for the Shooting Star Children's Hospices charity football tournament.

Made up of Richard Hook, Matt Hanley, Dan Levy, Ben Clark-Edwards, Nathan, Ben Webb, Jarryd Knott and Akeel Ilyas, the team spent the weeks leading up to the event training together before putting their skills to the test on tournament day.

Most importantly, thanks to the generosity of colleagues, customers, friends and supporters, the team helped raise an incredible £1,520 for Shooting Star Children's Hospices, a charity that provides vital care and support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey and London. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, they help to make every moment count. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

The tournament was a fantastic opportunity for colleagues across the business to get together outside of work, get to know each other better and enjoy some healthy competition, all while supporting a great cause.

While Vintners United didn't bring home the trophy this year, the fundraising total certainly felt like a win. We'd like to thank everyone who donated, supported the team and cheered from the sidelines, as well as the team at Shooting Star Children's Hospices for organising such a brilliant event.

We're incredibly proud of everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.
