Ellis Wines supports South Africa
To help combat the spread of Covid-19, South Africa introduced a ban on the sales of alcohol. This ban was temporarily lifted in June but has since been reintroduced. While breweries, distilleries and wineries can’t sell their products in South Africa, they are still allowed to export.
Due to these restrictions, the South African Wine Industry really need our support. Here at Ellis, for every 6 bottles purchased from any of our five family-owned wine makers, we will donate £1 to Hospitality Action. Your wine purchase could help save a family-owned South African winery and all the livelihoods it supports. #DrinkSouthAfrican #EllisSupportsSA
The pandemic has hit the hospitality industry hard, which is why we have chosen to donate the money raised to Hospitality Action. Hospitality Action was established in 1837 and has since offered vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK. Whether you work in hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars or cafés, schools, hospitals or event venues, they are there to give help, advice and support you need whenever times get tough.
