Feather Falls is the product of expert negociants who have selected, vinified and blended to create a consistent rose wine in perfect conditions. Zinfandel grapes, ideally suited to the Californian climate, are selected from across the vineyards of California’s Central Valley and are carefully vinified for a short time before removing the grape skins. Although Zinfandel is a red grape variety, the rose version, confusingly named White Zinfandel, was created to resolve a temporary glut of grapes when the popularity of red Zinfandel dwindled in 1980s. The success of White Zinfandel has been one of the wine phenomena of recent times.
