In light of the Government’s conditional plan to slowly re-start the economy and the proposed reopening of the hospitality sector from early July, albeit it as a ‘new normal’, we felt it would be a good opportunity to get in touch and remind you that the Ellis team (un-furloughed) are ready to support you when you need it; we are your partner and we remain dedicated to helping you whenever we can.

At the moment, 70% of our team have been furloughed and whilst the scheme has been an incredible support to us all, we need to look beyond the current situation to allow us to provide the high level of service and support you have come to expect from us once you are ready to reopen.

Planning ahead is therefore essential in order for us to organise our operation effectively, taking staff off furlough where necessary, managing our stock levels and assisting you in updating or creating new wine lists.  We would kindly ask if you could please get in touch with us to share your plan, particularly if you are looking to reopen in early July.

Please email us your proposed re-opening date, remembering to include your business name and contact details, to rsvp@ellis-wines.co.uk. Please also let us know if there are any changes as to how you would like to receive deliveries.

We have continued to operate the business with a skeleton team, so our thanks go to all of them in keeping the business going at this challenging time.

• We have been shipping stock from our producers from around the world to ensure that we have good availability of all of our wines for when the time starts for you to re-order.
• Our customer service and operations team are ready and waiting to process, pick and deliver your orders.
