Meyer Family Vineyards
Jak Meyer and Janice Stevens established Meyer Family Vineyards in Okanagan Valley, British Colombia with the purchase of a 1.6ha Chardonnay estate in 2006. Meyer Family Vineyards cultivate vineyards in the beautiful wine regions of the Okanagan Valley of BC; Old Main Road Vineyard, located on the Naramata Bench and McLean Creek Vineyard, the newest vineyard and winery on McLean Creek Road in Okanagan Falls. Nestled amongst beautiful orchards, rolling hills, crystal clear lakes, and unique micro climates, the Okanagan with its semi-arid climate has the ideal growing conditions for the cultivation of wine grapes, especially for the varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Okanagan is well suited for the Burgundy style wines that Meyer Family Vineyards is known for producing. It is no surprise that winemaker, Chris Carson honed his talents making Pinot Noir in New Zealand’s Central Otago.
