Region

The town of Bergerac lies on the Dordogne river, just to the east of the limit of Bordeaux vineyard, a region that it closely resembles. Much of the red wines are blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot and the whites from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

Producer

This beautiful 40 hectare estate in the Dordogne belongs to the Cuisset family, and lies on the hillsides of Saussignac near the town of Bergerac. The rich soils of this area allow wines to be made of great complexity.
Tasting Notes
The passionate and innovative winemaker Pascal Cuisset owns this beautiful Dordogne estate, south west of the town of Bergerac. Made from a blend of Sauvignon and Semillon matured `sur lie`, his white Bergerac is a dry, medium-bodied, zesty, refreshing wine with apple and citrus notes. It retains a crisp, zingy acidity with hints of pineapple and gooseberry and fantastic weight on the palate.
Food
Great by itself or with lighter fish and seafood.
