Region

The Rheinhessen lies to the south of the Rheingau and includes many of Germany`s best-known wine towns. Riesling is less important than Muller Thurgau and Silvaner here, yet the wines have an attractive floral aroma and balanced acidity.

Producer

The family`s involvement in producing wine go back some 200 years, when their ancestors came to the village of Lonquich on the banks of the Mosel River, in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer winegrowing region. Today the company is still in the town, producing a wide range of wines from the best grapes of the region.
Tasting Notes
The vineyards of Nierstein, on the banks of the Rhein in the Rheinhessen district, provide classic mineral and citrus flavours from well-situated Riesling vines. Floral aromas of elderflower and honeysuckle mingle on the palate with ripe pear, peach and honey. Silky in the mouth, the finish is good with a touch of sweetness and a lingering lemony acidity.
Food
Ideal with chicken, light meats or just by itself.
