Producer

Jean Loron was born in Chénas in 1711 and developed his estate as a wine grower. By 1885, his great-grandson Jacques had merged the business with the Charlet family who were wine merchants. These days it is run by the eighth generation of the family and is the only wine merchant to specialise in Beaujolais and Bourgogne wines.
Tasting Notes
Moderate yields and a late harvest to ensure the maturity of the grapes and a long classic Burgundian fermentation, produce a wine with a strong Burgundian identity. With a bright ruby colour, black berry fruits and spicy notes, this Coteaux Bourguignons is a complex wine with round and elegant tannins.
Food
A good match for grilled or roast meats, chicken casseroles or mushroom risottos and mild cheeses.
